About The Opportunity

The Floor Lead ensures an acceptable finished product for our customer. The person in this position is responsible for overseeing of the production line leaders and that the floor operates in a productive manner. The Floor Lead is also responsible for directing and training all new Line Leads in the production processes, safety and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs).

Essential Functions:

1. Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
2. Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
3. Responsible for training production staff
4. Serve as a backup to the Production Supervisor
5. Work in conjunction with the Quality Department for positive production results
6. Conduct inspection of the product every hour or more frequently if the job is complex or critical in its design or use
7. Keep abreast of the rates of the jobs running on the production line
8. Responsible for work packets being filled out correctly, accurately, and on time
9. Maintain a professional demeanor and performance in supervision of staff
10. Perform all computer functions in Warehouse Management System (WMS)
11. Process information and merchandise through computer system
12. Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
13. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Shift Requirement:

2nd shift (core hours 3:00pm-11:00pm. some flexibility may be required based on business needs)

Education/Certification:
Level Desired
High school diploma or equivalent

Work Experience:
Required
Minimum 2 years of related experience or training in warehouse production

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
2. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
3. Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
4. Ability to effectively work in teams
5. Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
6. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
7. Ability to lead/supervise large groups of associates
8. Understanding of quality standards, methods and reporting as required
9. Demonstrate a "team player" demeanor
10. Strong multi-tasking skills
11. Ability to plan in advance for production in assigned areas
12. Ability to interpret instructions (both verbal and written)
13. Ability to produce at a high level through assigned staff
14. Ability to work with plant management for required results
15. Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job
