Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience

License Required: Obtain state insurance adjuster licenses as required within the first 60 days of employment.

Experience: PIP Claim Rep- 3-5 years of prior claim adjusting experience;

KSA’s (knowledge, skills, abilities):

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent listening skills.
• Complete state continuing education as required to maintain adjuster licensing.
• Ability to work independently.
• Practical thinker and intuitive decision maker.
• Organized yet flexible.

Position Requirements:

General Summary: Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve automobile claims in all states.

• Handle low to moderately complex PIP cases. Settlement authority will vary.
• Obtain facts to evaluate coverage, medical necessity and causation/damages.
• Identify subrogation opportunities.
• Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves.
• Handle litigation on low-exposure cases. Develop litigation plan with staff or panel counsel, and track and control legal expenses.
• Assure cost-effective resolution.
• Provide quality customer service and control payout.
• Comply with state specific regulations.
• Recognize and forward appropriate files to SIU.
• Manage deductibles and wages.
• Recognize coverage issues as well as jurisdictional issues.
• Manage medical payout and return-to-work strategies through IMEs and Peer Reviews.
• Perform any other duties as required
