Job Summary:
Meneses Law is seeking a productive and meticulous Accounting Clerk Collector to assist in ensuring that the company receives payment for services that are provided to clients and to professionally maintain financial records pertaining to the handling of accounts receivable.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Must be able to efficiently collect on past due accounts.
- Must be able to place 100 to 120 collection calls a day.
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
- Prepares commentaries regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
- Researches all customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Accounting Supervisor and Accounting staff.
- Collaborates with the Accounting staff to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis.
- Assists in recording actual cash receipts every day and balancing to data used for deposit of funds.
- Relays updates and changes to client information as it relates to the status of the accounts receivable accounts.
- Communicates findings to Accounting Manager that require involvement of other departments within the company.
- Solicit payment of bills through negotiation and professional communication
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and MacOS systems as well as other accounting software programs.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
- Self-motivated, goal oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Friendly and strong commitment to customer service.
- One year work experience as a debt collector or similar clerical role.
- Principles and procedures of record keeping.
- Must have impeccable math skills
- Able to type 45 WPM or more.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- At least one year of related experience required.

Compensation:
Meneses Law believes in Work Life Balance. Operation hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus 2 Saturdays a month for certain positions.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Education/ Experience: -A Bachelor’s degree, knowledge of MS Office and MacOS.
- Communication Skills: -Ability of reading comprehension, writing, speaking to others to convey information effectively, active listening and interpreting instructional documents. English/ Spanish bilingual oral communication is a must.
- Reasoning Skills: -Must be able to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to define the problem
or objective. Identify relevant concerns or factors, patterns, tendencies, and relationships. Formulate logical and objective conclusions and recognize alternative and their implications.
- Physical Demands: -This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking. -May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.
-Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds.
- Other skills : -Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, leadership
technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
