BASIC PURPOSE:
Manufactures Engineered Temperature Measurement projects, partially or completely, working at a bench or other area per specific customer requirements.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:
- Interprets engineered CAD and furnace plot plans for Engineered Temperature Assemblies.
- Inspects/evaluates engineered applications and seeks clarification on any potentially non-conforming products.
- Assembles components according to drawing specifications and project inspections.
- Performs bolting, clipping, screwing, cementing, silver brazing, light welding and intricate bending of tubing and MI Cable.
- Removes small quantities of metal with buffers, hand files and scrapers to produce tight tolerance components.
- Works on line where tasks vary as different products move through production department.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the department.
- Confers with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel in order to exchange technical information.
- Assists in the field during commissioning of products to assist ensure compliance of product installation.
- Implements thermocouple trouble-shooting strategies while following company policies and procedures.
- Installs and terminates all electrical components in customer approved inclosures.
- Performs NDT inspections and electrical function inspections on all engineered assemblies.
- Performs ancillary duties as needed.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/GED or HS Equivalency
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, working with highly technical products.
- Ability to use and read a tape measure required.
- Some welding experience highly preferred.
- Preferred knowledge and experience reading blueprints/CAD Drawings/Plot plans.
