MHANJ- Ocean Administrative Assistant for Local Non-Profit
Reports to the Chief Administrative Officer for a local non-clinical Mental Health Agency providing peer delivered supports, services, and programs to residents of Ocean County.
Responsibilities:
Program/Staff Calendar Management
Website functions and social media profiles
Aggregate and submission of reports and prepare proposals and presentations as needed.
Assistance in development of marketing, grant proposals, and verbiage.
Communicate with internal and external programs and partnerships.
Coordinate activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
Drafts, formats, and prints relevant documents.
Arranges meetings by scheduling appropriate meeting times, booking rooms, and planning.
Creates agendas and takes meeting notes.
Online video conferencing utilization
Maintain office equipment when needed.
Organize supplies, file paperwork, recycle, etc.
Any other responsibilities given by supervisor and/or administrative staff.
Requirements:
Experience as an office administrator/administrative assistant, office assistant or relevant role
Associate degree/Peer training and/or credentialing preferred.
Experience in mental health/substance use/peer support.
Strong grammatical skills and ability to prove documentation required.
High level of technology literacy and a willingness to learn new applications with a short learning curve. Technology platforms include Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Survey Monkey, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Canva, and Constant Contact (or similar) - Required
Proficient in Social Media Marketing/Management

This is a part time/full time position located in Ocean County
Approximately 24-35 hours per week; $18-22 per hour; based on experience.
