Systems Analyst

Purpose: 

The Mental Health Partners (MHP) Information Services (IS) Systems Analyst is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of one or more enterprise applications within the organization. In that role, the Systems Analyst collaborates cross functionally in the design and management of the software applications under their responsibility.

Job Summary: 

Under guidance from the Director of Enterprise Applications, the Systems Analyst participates in multi-stakeholder project teams to define technical requirements, assess the capabilities of available technologies to meet those requirements, and make recommendations as to process redesign and/or structural system changes to their designated IS application(s). This role supports the development of tactical and strategic directions in support of MHP operations and goals. The Systems Analyst is also responsible for the day-to-day operation and performance of deployed application(s) under their responsibility.

Essential Functions:

• Coordinates the development process for new systems and functionality of enterprise application(s) they support, including:
• Collaboration with stakeholders to define scope, requirements, and goals.
•  Analysis, prioritization, and organization of requirements for testing and reporting.
• Development of process documentation and specifications, including translation into non-technical terminology.
• Design and coordination of the quality assurance, testing, training, and deployment of new functionality and systems.
• Develops and implements maintenance, troubleshooting, and update protocols to ensure application(s) remains high-performing and functional

• Ensures continuing operational quality by documenting bug fixes and enhancements, assigning tasks to developers, and testing and releasing updates.
• Coordinates groups of internal users who test, evaluate, and validate new functions and applications, and identify issues in software or services.
• Reviews and updates application documentation and training materials to reflect status
• Produces routine and ad-hoc system reviews and reports (financial, quality, utilization, operational efficiency, etc.)
• Provides recommendations for improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of designated application(s).
• Participates in project meetings as required, including meeting with project team(s) regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines.
• Adheres to industry best practice and internally defined protocols for the change management process.
• Meets defined individual and department goals, activity metrics and Key Performance Indicators
• Promotes, supports and demonstrates MHP’s mission, vision and values through both behavior and job performance and adheres to policies, procedures, Compliance Plan and Standards of Conduct on a day to day basis
• Effectively interacts and communicates with other MHP staff/clients/customers/partners/etc.
• Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform other essential functions of the job
