Job Description:
Director, Marketing
Location: Grapevine, TX
The Director of Marketing for Grapevine will lead all customer initiatives relating to our newest exhibition in Grapevine, TX. Part marketer, part manager, and part sales strategist, this dynamic individual has deep marketing and media knowledge of Dallas-Fort Worth and its surrounding areas, combined with a sharp business mentality, a love of art and immersive experiences, and a drive for crazy-fast growth.
This energetic individual sees the enormous opportunity of bringing a new world of art and storytelling to a market who has never experienced anything like Meow Wolf. This includes marketing and community campaigns related to awareness and engagement to the exhibition, marketing for events and concerts that will be held at Meow Wolf Grapevine's venue, and acquiring group and private business sales. Additionally, the critical culture contributor will grow a passionate marketing, sales and community team responsible for creating and overseeing campaigns and product packaging spanning the entire journey, including brand awareness, engagement, customer and group sales conversion, and retention.

How you will do it...
Establish and evangelize Meow Wolf's Grapevine immersive exhibition through strategic marketing initiatives and partnerships
Recruit, manage, and grow a team of highly capable marketers who are responsible for bringing awareness and intrigue of Meow Wolf Grapevine, both for those in Grapevine (locals and tourists) as well as those planning to travel to Dallas-Ft. Worth metro area. Coach, mentor and develop staff; provides career development planning and opportunities.
Create and oversee campaigns and packaging spanning the entire acquisition and retention funnel of exhibition ticket sales, including events and concerts that will be held at Meow Wolf Grapevine's venue. This includes brand awareness, engagement, customer & group sales conversion, and retention.
Work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Communications Officer, and General Manager of Grapevine to meet all marketing and sales priorities.
Acquire new customers by:
Attracting and generating awareness and intent to visit with new visitors engaging in Grapevine activities onsite, including in Dallas-Ft. Worth metro area (locals) and tourists, engaging online (social, paid media, press) and offline (OOH / print / radio) channels
Oversees marketing budget, development and execution of marketing campaign calendar, and media buying strategy
Oversee team responsible for building online social media channels, increasing engagement, and providing online customer support through email, review sites, and social communication
Promote awareness of Meow Wolf with paid and earned media, including word of mouth, press, and social
Develop relationships with key members of the Grapevine and Dallas-Ft. Worth press and collaborate on earned-media opportunities.
Develop, review, update and implement strategic planning of the business including sales, financial performance; Deliver regular reports of campaign results, including evaluation of KPIs/ROI
Develop and optimize product packaging of group ticket sales to attract and engage B2B businesses in long term engagements.
Develop or have relationships with key members of the Grapevine and Dallas tourism, hospitality industry, and consumer relations.
Acquire new group and B2B business by:
Generating targeted group sales leads through hotel and tour packages
Develop best practices for determining the ideal customer or qualified leads
Identifying tour operators that sell Grapevine packaging, domestically and abroad
Working closely with industry partners to host tours and press events.
Joining tour and travel associations to begin collecting leads and maintain access to current tourism research
Create sponsored events for the tourism industry and local concierges
Direct and coordinate all department activities to meet business and profitability growth objectives of the attraction
Understand and have a love for the Meow Wolf brand; Communicate brand identity in campaigns and in all communication channels, in concert with the Grapevine location, property or sub-brand.
Proactively keep up with current trends and events in marketing, social technologies, new media and relevant industries (i.e., themed and immersive entertainment).

To be successful in this role...
BS/BA in Business Administration, Marketing and Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Advertising. MBA preferred.
7-10 years professional experience in sales and marketing, with 5 years of management experience; experience in Dallas-Ft. Worth area highly preferred.
Current or recent business and market experience directing sales for both group and leisure segments.
Established relationships with key hospitality management or press in Dallas-Fort Worth ideal.
Top-notch leadership skills; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented, data-driven, with a high degree of financial literacy.
Must be able to work in a (very) fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritize, be alright with ambiguity, and collaborate closely with remote leadership.
Energetic, inquisitive, and collaborative with a great attitude and go-getter mentality.
Ability to honor the brand as it is while elevating it to a new level of recognition in the world.

Physical Demands: Talking, Hearing, Standing Walking. The individual is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, etc.
Work Environment: This position works in an office setting. Work from home options available, but must be based in or close to the Dallas-Ft.Worth area in Grapevine, TX.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Supervisor Responsibilities: This position supervises the marketing & sales division of Grapevine. This team will be hired and grown by this position.
Travel: Local travel required. Some travel to other Meow Wolf exhibitions required (less than 10%).
