The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing administrative and technical support for departmental faculty. This position will manage the facilitator matrix in a shared spreadsheet. The position will coordinate student laboratory tutors and standardized patients. The Pharmacy Tech will also order lab supplies and manage lab inventory in addition to setting up for the labs. The incumbent will coach Pharmacy students in technical dispensing and intravenous preparation skills.
A high school diploma or GED and one year of prior experience as a laboratory technician are required. Additionally, candidates must have successfully completed an ASHP accredited technician training program and possess a valid Pharmacy Technician license.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of software; i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Training and experience with financial software, ex. Mercer Citrix
- Training and experience with web 2.0 programs, ex. Canvas or similar academic program support software, ExamSoft
- Able to effectively interact with people, flexible and can communicate with professionalism
- Punctual, dependable and able to work as a team player for the Department
