The Global Commercial and Digital Experience (CDX) team is a newly formed organization, serving as part of Global Marketing, Commercial Services and Technology Solutions (GMCS & TS). Working cross-functionally, the CDX team aims to enable the enterprise to disrupt the present and build the animal health of tomorrow by designing and delivering advanced commercial capabilities and ambitious digital experiences to help the business launch their next big bets and enable innovation at global scale. We partner across the enterprise to design, scale, enable and sustain capabilities and solutions that generate the greatest impact for the business and value for our customers. We are looking for a dynamic and visionary Events and Experiential Marketing Director to develop and lead the vision for our global presence through impactful and strategic events. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind our event marketing initiatives, fusing creativity with data-driven insights to amplify our brand and contribute to our growth. This role will report directly to the Executive Director, Customer Experience and Content Excellence.
They will be at the forefront of identifying, evaluating, and seizing new opportunities, leading the way in planning, executing, and meticulously measuring the success of diverse events. The primary mission is to curate experiences that not only capture attention but also generate high-quality leads. Collaborating closely with senior stakeholders, they will craft and implement strategies with the utmost success in lead generation and revenue growth.

The role demands meticulous attention to detail before, during, and after events to ensure a consistently exceptional customer experience and a cohesive animal health company presence. This individual will drive transformation by challenging conventional approaches and redefining future animal health experiences.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Lead the orchestration and execution of a comprehensive global vision for events, and virtual experiential marketing, perfectly aligned with the company's overall commercial objectives and brand positioning as an integrated animal health company.
Foster strategic customer loyalty through the successful planning and execution of events aimed at increasing visibility, generating sales leads, and retaining and attracting new customers.
Leadership:
Inspire and lead a team of shared resources across meetings, events, and content capabilities, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure successful event planning and execution.
Promote visibility and transparency of all global, regional, and local meetings, events, and launch roadmaps and programs.
Lead the meetings, events, and experiential marketing community of practice and workshops.
Seek innovative ways to modernize and standardize global-to-local implementation and deployment of meetings, events, and launch programs.
Ensure consistent implementation and operational capabilities across meetings and events.
Event Curation:
Strategic planning, organization, and execution of a wide range of events, such as conferences, tradeshows, product launches, and experiential marketing activations.
Direct the execution of both physical and virtual experiences, including internal meetings, industry/trade events, key opinion leader (KOL) meetings, thought leadership conferences, and new product launches/brand activations.
Performance Measurement & Competitive Analysis:
Forecast, evaluate, measure, and report on the effectiveness of events, leads generated, and ROI.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of meetings, events, and experiential marketing initiatives. Provide regular reports and analysis to management on ROI, customer insights, and competitive landscape.
Define and ensure that KPIs and metrics are planned for and tracked during and after event execution.
Monitor the budget for global meetings, events, and experiential marketing, ensuring cost-effective planning and execution while delivering exceptional experiences.
Track and monitor all budgets related to meetings, travel, and events, defining a measurement framework to assess return on investment (ROI). Provide guidance to brand or franchise owners throughout the process and ensure compliance with budgetary and regulatory requirements.
Vendor and Supplier Management & Performance Optimization:
Identify and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and event production agencies to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and products within budget and timeline constraints.
Direct all activities related to agencies and vendors, including the development of exhibit/virtual environments, program planning, and speaker/presentation management. Communicate and align stakeholders globally, regionally, and locally.
Influencing and Driving Transformation:
Influence and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders at all levels, including Global Marketing, Regions, Commercial Leaders, CDX, IT, Communications, and Executive Leadership, to understand their objectives and incorporate them into strategies and plans.
Influence and collaborate cross-functionally with Travel & Meetings Group, Communications, Procurement, Global, Regional, and Local Marketing & Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), CDX peers, IT, and Regional/Country Operations, as well as external strategic partnerships/agencies.
Approach all projects with a marketing and strategic growth mindset, collaborating effectively with individuals at all levels of a matrix organization to execute integrated experiences that drive results.
Align stakeholders at all levels of the organization on pre-event, during-event, and post-event engagement and lead creative content process.
Innovation & Trend Monitoring:
Drive and scale experiential marketing capabilities within the organization, including the identification and evaluation of virtual platforms and emerging technologies.
Stay current with the latest trends and innovations in meetings, events, and experiential marketing. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the company's event experiences and brand presence.
Identify and deploy new, innovative technologies that enhance meeting, event, and launch customer experiences.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related areas of study.
Required:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior role such as Marketing, Global meetings, events, experiential marketing or commercial operations
Proven track record of planning and executing successful events and experiential marketing campaigns across physical, digital and virtual mediums.
Ability to execute senior leader endorsed, multi-dimensional projects across a broad group of enterprise stakeholders.
Experience in leading diverse teams to accelerate Global and Regional events and/or product launches with an understanding of the dynamics of a networked Global, Regional and local organization.
Strategic understanding of emerging digital strategies, tools, and platforms.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with experience in contract negotiations and budget management.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence without authority.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected salary range:
