The Director of Animal Health Manufacturing Communications oversees or directly manages the development and implementation of communications strategies and programs in support of the global animal health manufacturing organization. The Director serves on the Global Animal Health Manufacturing leadership team and acts as the key communications advisor for critical manufacturing communications, key strategic initiatives and business programs.
Primary Activities:
Implement and execute programs to support key manufacturing strategic initiatives.
Creates and maintains an efficient global communications site network with the plant managers that can quickly respond to the business communications needs.
Partners with the Global Animal Health Manufacturing Leadership Team to develop and drive strategic communications, including empowering managers and other key stakeholders with information to help them inform and influence their staff.
Supports the execution of site communication strategies that positively impact and help the organization navigate through change, growth, crisis and employee affairs.
Drives strategic communications plans, including empowering site managers and other key stakeholders with information and tools to help them inform and influence their staff.
Leads and aligns the communication of existing safety, quality, diversity, engagement and other programs
Establishes and streamlines key communications processes across site network to increase the efficacy of our narrative.
Contributes to positioning the Global Animal Health Manufacturing organization as an employer of choice among current and prospective employees.
Surfaces stories of innovation, safety and diversity.
Implements communications solutions addressing the challenges of communicating with colleagues in manufacturing production.
Manages external partners to ensure implementation of the communications strategy.
Collaborates across the organization to support that the company’s communications are executed in a strategic, consistent and measurable manner and that communications resources are aligned to business priorities.
Manages issues appropriately and responds to media inquiries in a timely way, positioning the company favorably and a leader in technologies that support quality manufacturing capacity and capabilities.
This position reports to the AVP of Animal Health Communications.

We offer Hybrid Work Model (combination of 3 days In-office & 2 days offsite/remote). This position cannot be 100% remote.
Applicant must have ability to work from our NJ HQ site in Rahway NJ.
Education Minimum Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree with 8 or more years of communications experience OR a minimum of a high school diploma with at least 10 years of equivalent experience which could include: communications, media, and/or military.
Required:
A min of 10 years of proven experience in Corporate Communications, or similar role, with extensive experience working in-house with publicly traded company(ies).
Track record of success in strategic communications, strong collaborator with effective relationship and partnership skills.
Experience within a highly regulated industry; deep business knowledge, solid understanding of manufacturing across a global enterprise.
Ability to approach communications in new and innovative ways and fluency in social media and other technology enabled communications channels.
Proven track record as a strong strategic communications leader who has demonstrated capabilities to drive organizational change, ensure employee engagement, manage the external environment with media and manage cross-functional projects.
Demonstrated success in collaborating across functions and across geographies.
Proven ability to translate science/business/technical information, developments and challenges into compelling communications for key stakeholders.
Maintains direction and focus through proactive, integrated planning; takes an organized, data-driven approach.
Possesses passion, energy, a detail orientation, and enthusiasm to drive results.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
