Position Summary: The Event Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of marketing campaigns designed to drive lead generation, build local awareness and community presence through events, community relations, corporate partnerships, business partnerships and referrals for each service center in the Midwest Region. The Event Marketing Manager reports directly to the Director of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Drive and develop corporate strategies and campaigns and work closely with market-specific General Managers and Field Sales/Marketing Managers to assist in the execution of go-to-market plans, tactics and events across the region, from concept and creative development to implementation, optimization, and reporting
- Improve relations within the communities we serve by establishing a consistent company presence around Mercury’s local service areas to engage and build loyalty centered around support of K-12 and higher education, local charity and community engagement
- Increase the engagement strategy, creative approach, planning, and execution of events for the organization’s service center grand openings/ribbon-cuttings and fiber ground breakings events, including day-of-event management support and attending events
- Ensure the external events portray positive light to media, government officials and key community stakeholders
- Maintain media list for press releases and coverage maps for each service center
- Lead efforts to brainstorm, research, design, order, manage and maintain inventory of promotional materials including equipment (displays, tradeshow booths, tents), merchandise and collateral for each service center to support local marketing efforts and events
- Complete tactical execution and coordination of logistics, vendor procurement and management and contract negotiation
- Assist with mailings and other distributions
- Assist with new brand ambassador and prospecting opportunities in local markets
- Recommend, manage and adhere to the local budgets and forecasts
- Foster relationships with General Managers, field sales/marketing managers and vendors
- 20% travel

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of 3-6 years of event management experience, project management, understanding of marketing and promotional techniques, public relations/communications experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
