What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contracts Manager position at Mercury Systems?

In this role, you have the opportunity to be a significant contributor to exceeding revenue & profit targets by negotiating low risk win / win deals

You are responsible for

  • Providing contractual advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations and privileges of the company.
  • Representing the company to customers, suppliers, competitors and government agencies.
  • Providing resolution of business or technical issues by identifying contractual solutions and recommending a course of action.
  • Oversee compliance with regulations and manages contracts.
  • Conduct the preparation, pre-contract data collection, negotiation, acceptance and administration of government contracts and subcontracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and customer specifications.
  • Reviews and approves all contractual documents for protection of the company's contractual posture, satisfaction of government specifications and requirements, and adherence to company policy.
  • Negotiates contract terms and prepares proposal and contract documents in conjunction with other stakeholders in the organization.
You are a part of the Microelectronics Division Contracts team supporting a multifaceted geographically dispersed business.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelors Degree with 3 years related experience.
  • Experienced in provisions of USG FAR/DFAR, with knowledge of USG DODINST 5000, USG Defense Security Cooperation Agency’s (DSCA) Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM), USG ITAR, UCC Regulations, and INCOTERMS
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills (Verbal & written) with the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the business
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to obtain a USG security clearance
Purpose: This position is for a seasoned professional individual contributor in Contracts who works independently with limited supervision.

Responsibility Statement: This is currently an individual contributor role with the opportunity to expand into a supervisory role with the growth and expansion of the business.
