What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Coordinator -- Full-Time position at Mercury Systems?
Responsibilities:
As a part of this position, you will be responsible for utilizing industry standards to ensure the highest quality of products. This includes visually inspecting electronic assemblies during the production process, providing immediate feedback to operators, and recording any discrepancies that arise. We currently have openings for both 1st and 2nd shift positions.
Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain necessary IPC credentials
- Must have a strong understanding of quality control methods, including spot-inspection, sampling, and 1st-piece verification
- Comfortable spending extended periods of time using a microscope
- Knowledgeable about in-process material compliance with customer and industry standards
- Must be diligent in accurately documenting all information
- Ability to identify and escalate systemic issues to the appropriate departments
- Experience supporting first-piece verification runs
- Skilled in documenting non-conformities to process and specifications
- Capable of conducting regular quality line-audits
- Strong advocate for ESD, PPE, and FOD prevention
- Proficient in operating various inspection equipment

- Familiarity with IPC industry standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to cross-train in multiple quality areas
Preferred Skills:
- Strong documentation abilities
- Computer literacy
- Previous experience in an electronics/SMT manufacturing facility
- Relevant experience in quality inspection or control
