Responsibilities
The incumbent is a member of the healthcare team whose role is to facilitate unit operations through patient registration and scheduling, order processing, requisition of services and patient procedures, processing and tracking of charges as applicable, maintaining accurate and complete patient charts, managing unit clerical supplies, and demonstrating proper communications etiquette while managing multiple phone and intercom lines. The Unit Assistant may also assist in patient care as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year experience as Unit Assistant/Clerk, or equivalent in a healthcare setting and previous experience assisting in direct patient care is preferred.
- Candidates must have taken a medical terminology course or have equivalent knowledge
- BLS from the American Heart Association.
