What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mammography Mobile Driver - PRN position at Mercy Health BSMH?
PRN - as needed
Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position (2-3 sentences)
Responsible for driving the Mobile Mammography van to and from places where are patients live and work. Responsible to confirm vehicle safety, stability and refueling. Transport self or other driver to and from scheduled venue.
Essential Job Functions
- Operates hospital vehicle to transport equipment to various sites.
- Adheres to all state and local driving laws.
- Completes daily pre-check and post-check maintenance checklist to ensure vehicle and equipment are in proper working order
- Reports any malfunction of vehicle and its contents to the Mammography Supervisor.
- Arranges for cleaning of vehicle according to planned schedule.
- Refuels vehicle as needed.
- Maintains vehicle cleanliness
- Uses hospital issues credit cards for appropriate vehicle/business use only.
- Other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Licensure/Certification Required:
Requires a valid state driver’s license and CDL Class A or B
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Must be able to work independently, take initiative and communicate easily and openly with peers.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Previous CDL Class A or B driving experience preferred.
