Overview:
Reviews medical charts to provide nutritional assessment and develop nutritional care plans for the hospital patients. Identify and treat patients at nutritional risk. Monitors patients on modified diets, tube feedings, and supplemental feedings. Consults with physicians, nursing staff, and members of the Nutritional Service Department to coordinate all phases of a patients nutritional care. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Experience: One year internship or equivalent work experience in a hospital clinical setting.
- Required Education: Minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree in foods and nutrition.
- Certifications: Registered or Registry eligible with the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics within one year of hire.
- Licensure: State of Arkansas Licensure as a dietitian
- Other: Must have computer knowledge and skills and ability to learn and adapt to new software.
