What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietitian - Weight Management position at Mercy?
Overview:
- Provides quality medical nutrition therapy and education for patients. Collaborates with medical staff, nursing and appropriate ancillary departments to provide timely and effective implementation of nutrition care plans.
- Oversees meal replacement program, provides vitamin and supplement recommendations, facilitates nutrition classes and support groups. Develops educational materials and completes yearly review of materials.
Qualifications:
- Education: Must be a graduate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved Dietetic Internship Program.
- Licensure: Must be a Licensed Dietitian in the State of Missouri.
- Certifications: Must be registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and maintain registration status. Must maintain licensure within the State of Missouri. Must have a Master's Degree/ or Specialist Certification in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP), Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), Certified Diabetes Educator or other clinical specialty.
