Overview:
Participates in care of endoscopy patients through the perioperative experience. Prepares the endoscopy field, obtains the needed equipment, upholds patient safety standards, and assists the registered nurse. Assists the physician while performing endoscopy procedures. Monitors inventory levels of procedural supplies. Cleans and disinfects endoscopes based on manufacturer recommendations. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy service standards.
Qualifications:
Education: High School education or equivalent. Prefer one year experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Certifications: Current BLS Certification
Other: Basic computer skills. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Excellent customer service skills. High level of communication skills
Preferred Education: Minimum of one (1) year experience in endoscopy preferred.
