Assists with all aspects of patient care as directed by nurses and physicians. Maintains examination rooms. Calls pharmacy with prescriptions and patients with test results. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Location: 7345 Watson
Overview:

General Duties:
- rooming patients
- vital signs
- EKGs
- reviewing meds/history
- placing holter or event monitors for patients
- answering patient calls/returning patient calls
- help organizing cardiac surgeries at outside hospital systems
- Responding to MyMercy messages
- Scanning outside results into epic
- Prepping patients for clinic (making sure we have necessary records prior to appt) Organizing gene testing for patients
Medical Assistant I
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- preferred at least one year of experience
Medical Assistant II
- High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred and/or at least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant
Medical Assistant III
- High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program and 3 years of experience
- Certification/Registration is required (RMA or CMA)
