Overview:
To become familiar with and increase knowledge of standardized psychological tests and batteries which evaluate neuropsychological functions. To administer and score neuropsychological/psychological test batteries evaluating cognitive, neuropsychological, behavioral, emotional and/or academic status, including those with patients who are difficult, complex or have various medical, psychological and developmental disorders, in order to assist the neuropsychologist in their assessment of the patient and in order to assist medical professionals in treatment decisions and other aspects of the patient's care. In addition to providing technical support to the Clinical Neuropsychologists in a medical setting and to assist with clinical research projects as instructed, this person also will provide clinical, departmental, and professional leadership within the department. Works collaboratively with a team of other health professionals to provide complete and comprehensive healthcare. Assists in the maintenance of a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment. Maintains confidentiality of all patient medical information. Maintains current knowledge base by attending appropriate continuing educational offerings related to duties as a Psychometrist. Establishes and maintains good interpersonal relationships with inter and intradepartmental personnel to promote optimal patient care.

Qualifications:
- Education: Undergraduate degree in psychology (or related field) or path to degree.
- Other: Patient empathy is needed as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to establish good rapport with patients, public and staff. Responsibilities include assisting neuropsychologists with procedures, maintaining supplies and inventory.
