Overview:
Schedule and pre-register patients for appointments in Imaging Services areas (Radiology, Ultrasound, Angiograms, Diagnostic Exams, and GI Lab). Responsible for receptionist duties including greeting patients, directing phone calls, working up requisitions and assisting physicians in locating films. The office assistant also files reports and film jackets, faxes reports and pulls films from big file and archives.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in computer data entry with good mathematical aptitude required.
- Other: Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance programs required. Must possess good interpersonal communication skills, and be able to communicate effectively with adult and geriatric patients.
