Overview:

This is a REMOTE position.

Responds to various contact channels (telephone calls, emails, chats, cases, etc.) from Mercy co-workers requesting assistance, information, answers to questions, and assistance with HR related issues through the Mercy Human Resources Talent Relations Center (TRC). Utilizes knowledge about Mercy HR to provide information about benefits, Mercy HR policies, whom to contact, forms, processes or procedures, and questions about any HR topic. Maintains a high level of confidentiality and performs duties in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards.

This position is extremely administrative in nature and will provide support to the Talent Relations Advisors and leaders. Talent Relations Analyst works remote, with the ability to work from the ministry office as needed.

Responsibilities:

Delivers a compelling co-worker experience.

Monitors and responds quickly (within 48 hours), courteously, and effectively to inquiries and requests from co-workers across the ministry on human resources matters on a wide variety of topics to include subpoenas, reporting, benefits, policies, and programs.

Troubleshoots problems/issues with co-workers, process/procedures to identify appropriate answer or solution. Highly functioning and familiar with HCM system.

Addresses to and responds to sensitive situations. Technical and reporting skills including use of excel and presentation skills, independent judgement and work independently. Coordinate with other departments to resolve complex issues and familiar with HR processes to be a generalist of all things. Highly functioning and familiar with HCM system.

Assist with projects such as HCM integration, new vendor relationships, process improvement and implementation. Provide administrative support including analytical reporting, dashboard maintenance, HCM admin/support and presentation support. Maintains daily performance and works at a quick and steady pace independently while maintaining a high quality of work. May assist others on the team as needed.

Collaborates with others in HR to provide help and support, as needed. Maintains excellent working relationships with HR communities of expertise and HR operations. Delivers high quality human resources services such that the human resources function is perceived as service-oriented, credible, outcomes-driven, innovative, user-friendly, and responsive.

Assists with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Four years Human Resources experience.
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, or other comparable discipline or equivalent work experience of three or more years in a Human Resources role.
  • Preferred Experience: Mercy HR operations experience
    Lawson HR experience, PHR certification
  • Other:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS software.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Strong communication skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail, problem solving skills and organized.
  • Customer focused, outstanding service orientation and positive attitude.
  • Reliable, dependable, and resourceful.

  • Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.
  • Knowledge of employment law and its application to workplace issues.
  • Demonstrated competency and general understanding of various areas of human resources (employee relations, selection/recruiting, counseling, performance management, etc.).
  • Proficient in utilizing computer and multi-tasking on various systems at the same time, including Microsoft products (Word, Teams, Jabber, etc.), to triage calls.
  • Strong time management skills with ability to work independently with little supervision. Will spend long hours on the computer and telephone.
  • Ability to work remotely.

  • Mercy HR experience
  • HCM subject matter expert
  • Reporting and HR analytical experience
