JOB TITLE: Kiln Operator
DEPARTMENT: Production

Red River Brick is seeking a 1st Shift - Kiln Operator for our manufacturing facility in Ogden, TX. Red River Brick is a subsidiary of General Shale Brick, North America’s largest manufacturer of clay bricks and other masonry materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the dryer’s and kiln temperatures and adjust accordingly to correctly fire the brick using computer controls,
- Load kiln cars into dryer and kiln on a timed schedule;
- Move cars around work tracks using transfer car
- Load sand seal pots; reset insulation on Kiln car seals
- Place, remove, and record fire check keys into Oracle spreadsheet
EDUCATION:
- High school or equivalent preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- On-the-job training
- Kiln experience preferred
- 1 years experience in manufacturing preferred.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Able to perform various form of physical labor (i.e lifting 30 lbs/ standing)
- Read, write, utilize a computer, and basic math to record data correctly.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Committed to working in a zero harm workplace
- Able to work flexible hours when needed
