Full Time Permanent Dock Supervisor in Valparaiso, Indiana
Position: 3rd Shift Dock Supervisor ( Cooler )
$23 an hour plus incentive
11pm - Finish (approx. 7am)
Must be able to consistently lift 20-40 lbs.

The Dock Supervisor for Merit Logistics directs and supervises associates activities at our customers work sites which may include unloading, picking, packaging, stack down, bailing, and sanitation services. The Dock Supervisor interfaces with our clients so that they are completely satisfied with our service. The Dock Supervisor gives direction to the leads and trainers. The Unloading Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of 10-15 associates on a nightly basis. The Dock Supervisor reports to the Site Manager.
This is a primarily 3rd Shift Inbound Operation. Hours of operation are mainly 11PM-Finish.
Dock Supervisor Job Responsibilities:
- Unload and process/breakdown warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, sort)
- Resolve client issues and communicate consistently with the customer to maintain a good relationship.
- Insure the efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability of each working shift.
- Investigate customer complaints involving matters such as damaged product or equipment, overcharges, delays in unloading, picking, packing, etc.
- Make adjustments as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
Dock Supervisor Qualifications / Skills:
- Teamwork
- At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume distribution warehouse setting. Supervisory experience including training, performance, staff development and associate discipline.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
