About the role... Responsible for
supporting all functions of the resort theme park, to include offsite
locations, in safety and compliance. Must be able to objectively audit and inspect through citation of Merlin
Policy, Local, State, and Federal regulations. Must have some understanding of local regulatory standards and capability
of providing detailed objective reports on non-compliance and safety hazards. Performs other safety functions within theme
park and satellite locations, as deemed necessary by safety leadership team. What
you’ll be doing... Investigates
safety hazards, near misses, and injuries on a routine basis and in fluid
response to incoming concerns. Who we’re looking for... A minimum of 0-3 years of
related experience and training, which provide the required knowledge,
skills and abilities, is required.
Handles the organization of the reporting/tracking process related
to incidents & injuries. Reviews claim forms and related
documents for completeness in addition to maintaining all related files
and records.
Assists with coordinating and tracking safety programs, including, annual safety refresher, “Safety Star” program, LLF Safety Committee and related training.
Maintaining accurate data within the Merlin MIDAS System according to incident investigations. Adding data updates to the system as new information is received in regards to guest/employee incidents and claims management.
Owns
the Near Miss reporting program for the resort.
Assist in
strategies to keep employees and the general public safe from harm.
Demonstrates
the ability to communicate effectively with all departments on safety and
compliance topics.
Continually
updates the Safety drive with resources for the resort theme park and
offsite locations.
Assist in
goal and objective setting for the short term and long term strategic plan
of Safety and Compliance.
Positively impact the safety culture of the resort theme park by
firmly establishing the safety and compliance standard.
Extensive understanding of theme
park safety is required.
Ability to react under
pressure or in emergency situations in a calm and rational manner.
Requires the ability to
read and comprehend regulatory code.
A friendly, polite and
customer service oriented demeanor is required. Demonstrated ability to
follow supervisor’s directions effectively, and observe and remember
details is required.
Effective decision-making
skills are required.
1-3 years Insurance or Claims
experience a plus.
