Parts Specialist

Mersino Dewatering is looking for a Parts Specialist is to coordinate all activities associated with order fulfillment for service parts, materials, and supplies. In addition, the Parts Specialist will serve as a working team member and individual contributor to the overall team’s success.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Order, receive, and retrieve parts, supplies, lubricants, and equipment as needed in a timely, efficient manner.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinator/Manager on parts needed for current and upcoming repairs.
• Retrieve and deliver the parts required for current and upcoming repairs to technicians.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the inventory bar-coding program within the branch Service Department.
• Operate a forklift to pull orders and to move or put away inventory.
• Communicate the receipt of product, any exceptions, discrepancies, or questionable conditions.
• Track orders via a spreadsheet or delivery software.
• Track and maintain service parts inventory levels and alert supervisor of potential issues.
• Keep service parts, materials, and all related inventory in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Assist the Service Coordinator/Writer with asset check-in, quality checks, and Service Orders as needed.
• Assist with the shipping and receiving of parts and inventory as needed.
• Assist Global Pump and customers with shipping inquiries via email and phone as needed.
• Adhere to applicable company and regulatory agency environmental, health and safety standards.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
• Ensure that The Mersino Way is a guiding document in all daily activities.

Qualifications:

• Strong email and data entry skills
• Customer service focused.
• 1-year prior experience operating a forklift.
• Previous automotive parts sales experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Required intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
