Job Description
Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Shop Helper is to maintain organization of shop areas and the distribution of products. You will be pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished products. You will also serve as a working team member and individual contributor to the overall team’s success.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
· Clean Shop areas and ensure working areas are free from debris.
· Organize the shop
· Taking care of garbage, sweeping the floors, running parts to different areas
· Maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections
· Cross-train to learn multiple functions in the production environment
· Load and unload equipment and supplies as directed, as well as delivery trucks ensuring that each delivery matches the company purchase order
· Clean and organize shop and other areas as required
· Comply with company and regulatory agency environmental, health, and safety standards
· Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify solutions to prevent future occurrences
· Ensure that The Mersino Way is a guiding document in all daily activities
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required
