What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Specialist - SRM position at Mesa Associates, Inc.?
The Procurement Specialist will prepare, review, negotiate, and administer contract documents and purchase orders for a variety of materials and services. This will include Master Service Agreements and scope of work documented on specific task orders in addition to purchase orders. This position will responsible for collaborating with internal business partners and external suppliers.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from fully accredited college or university in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field required
- A minimum of 3 years experience preparing and negotiating of contracts for purchase of materials and services
Responsibilities:
Develop and document new SRM processes based on Mesa SRM framework and work to find continuous improvement opportunities with the new processes- Follow-up routinely to the accuracy, direction, and completion of SRM objectives with internal business owners to ensure process efficiency
- Manager the Mesa SRM process and be accountable for enhancements, changes, integration, enablement, measurement and training
- Define and implement SRM governance around the SRM process to achieve desired business outcomes
- Compile, analyze, and present Supply Chain data
- Perform periodic supplier performance reviews to communicate actual and perceived performance concerns with Suppliers
- Maintains database regarding vendors’ performance and quality of product(s) as part of Supplier Relationship Management
- Communicates effectively with both internal and external customers
- Secondary responsibility, as needed, prepares, negotiates and administers contracts and purchase orders with suppliers
- Other related duties as assigned
Experience
Required- 3 year(s): Knowledge of basic procurement contract and purchase order processes including purchase order, contract document revision tracking and contract timeframes
- 3 year(s): A minimum of 3 years experience with program implementation and process documentation, preferably related to Supply Chain
Education
Preferred- Bachelors or better in Supply Chain or related field
- Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field
- Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field
