Job Title: Village Center Pastor

Status: Part-Time Days

Shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (25-29 hours per week)

Salary: $24 - $25 /HR

What do I need as a Village Center Pastor with Messiah Lifeways?

• Qualified for Christian ministry by denominational licensing and/or ordination, with a
  strong preference for seminary training.
• At least one (1) unit of CPE is preferred.
• Some experience and/or training in ministry among older adults is preferable, or a desire
  for continuing education in the field.

What will I do as a Village Center Pastor with Messiah Lifeways?

• Develop a plan to ensure the spiritual care and development of Village Center residents in collaboration with Pastoral Ministries, Social Workers, and Enrichment Specialists.
• With guidance from Director, periodically evaluate approaches to the spiritual care of Village Center residents and adjust as appropriate.
• Promote the mission of Pastoral Ministries among Village Center residents and team members.
• Maintain open communication with enrichment specialists, social workers, and other care providers to assure residents' spiritual needs are being met
• Plan for and coordinate the schedule for spiritual life activities and programming in Village Center neighborhoods.
• Pursue regular opportunities for reading, seminars, and workshops that enhance knowledge/expertise in caring for the spiritual needs of Village Center residents.
• Communicate with other pastors to care for residents moving through the continuum of care.
