Instagram is looking for a seasoned Brand Strategist to work on the Consumer Marketing team. This leader will have proven experience building and growing global brands and inspiring creative teams to develop impactful marketing that serves the Instagram community. Partnering closely with the Creative, Integrated Marketing, Culture & Community, and Product Marketing teams, this role will develop global standards to define the Instagram brand as it continues to grow and evolve. We are looking for someone who thrives in a highly collaborative and fluid environment, can influence without authority, and loves to roll up their sleeves to get into the details.

Brand Strategist, Instagram Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our internal insights team and external partners to design and analyze research
- Understand and contextualize cultural, social, and market trends and audience behavior to inform strategy and creative
- Capture and bring to life human insights that champion our community to inform inspiring and actionable creative briefs
- Establish and evolve the brand strategy and positioning for Instagram’s products, within the brand and across the Facebook company
- Deliver inspiring creative briefings by ensuring brand consistency, collaborating with and supporting creative teams throughout the process
- Apply focused strategy across diverse, concurrent campaigns and partnerships
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8 years experience as a brand planner or strategist at a brand or creative agency, consultancy or internal brand-based team
- Experience creating breakthrough campaigns that evolve the brand to reach their target audience
- Experience building and evolving brand strategies and architectures
- Experience translating insights, ideas, and data into customer value
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization and building influential and collaborative relationships
- BA/BS Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years brand strategy leadership experience and managing large scale budget/content operations
- Experience working in-house and with agencies
- Experience working on youth brands
- International experience and knowledge of diverse cultural, social and business landscapes
- Collaborative, creative, and analytically driven to connect brands and people
- Entrepreneurial spirit and experience being successful in fast-paced environment
