Meta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Engineer to join our Infrastructure Data Center team as an individual contributor. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our rapidly scaling Data Center infrastructure and innovative services.The candidate will spearhead efforts researching and developing new security solutions to protect Meta's IT, OT, and network infrastructure. You will serve as an advisor and subject matter expert on issues related to OT security, define the strategic roadmaps for the program, and work with cross-functional partners to establish security standards for infrastructure technology projects.

- Evaluating existing and new technologies and establishing security standards for infrastructure technology projects
- Driving efforts to measure risk & maturity against defined domains and control objectives for OT environments
- Collaborating with Information Security, Network Security, and compliance teams to ensure Data Center design, processes and procedures align with Meta policies, standards, and requirements
- Participating in investigations of complex technical matters on a global scale spanning multiple disciplines
- Leveraging metrics to inform decisions and prioritize problem-solving
- Educating partners on standards and policies and driving overall security awareness and program communication
- Participating in industry working groups to help evangelize security best practices
- Ability to travel up to 30% required
Minimum Qualifications:

- BS degree in related technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems) or equivalent practical experience
- 7 years of experience in offensive, defensive security, or systems engineering with a proven track record of leading successful security initiatives in IT and/or OT environments
- Fundamental understanding of IT and OT network communication protocols (For example: TCP/IP, UDP, DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850, OPC, OPC UA, PROFINET, HART, Foundation Fieldbus, etc.)
- Experience working cross-functionally with security engineers, analysts, project managers, technicians, policy partners, legal, communications teams
- Experience to identify and communicate clear performance-based OT security requirements to information and empower execution-focused teams
- Experience building relationships with key stakeholders and business leaders
- Experience building new services in an existing security program

- Strong communication skills
- Experience working directly in hyperscale Data Center programs or other large scale mission critical infrastructure
- Experience analyzing complex workflows and support/enhancing requirements-based Information Security controls
- Experience building enterprise wide security programs
- Advanced degree (e.g. MS, MBA etc.) in a relevant field
- Experience in at least one programming language (Python, Go, SQL, etc.)
- Relevant security certifications (e.g. CISSP, GICSP, CISM)

$157,000/year to $223,000/year bonus equity benefits
