**Summary:**
Reality Labs focuses on delivering Meta's vision through Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). The compute, performance and power efficiency requirements of Virtual and Augmented Reality, require custom silicon development. The Reality Labs Silicon team is driving state-of-the-art breakthrough work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body. Our chips will enable AR and VR devices where our real and virtual world will mix and match throughout the day. We believe the only way to achieve our goals is to look at the entire stack, from transistor, through architecture, to firmware, and algorithms.This team develops the software framework for customized hardware accelerator (HWA) modeling and virtual platform for hardware verification and early software development. Modeling and Virtual Platform Software Engineers support C modeling of computer vision, ML and other algorithms implemented in dedicated hardware accelerators, which are used inside our ASICs.
**Required Skills:**
Modeling and Virtual Platform Software Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Work with IP Architects to delineate and develop C models for algorithms that will get implemented in hardware.
2. Support use of C/C models for architectural modeling and algorithm benchmarking.
3. Support integrating the models into Virtual Platform by SystemC wrappers for early firmware development.
**Minimum Qualifications:**

4. Knowledge in algorithms, data structures, software design and programming experience in C/C for development, debugging, testing and performance analysis.
5. B.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
6. 4 years of hands-on low-level programming experience including bit-level manipulation of data.
7. Experience in drafting, manipulating and maintaining scripts in Python or similar scripting language.
8. Experience partnering and/or collaborating across multiple teams.

10. Experience in reference model development.
