The candidate to fill this role will be responsible for maintaining the concentration of solutions within the facility under the direct supervision of the laboratory supervisor. The candidate will also maintain a clean and orderly workspace regarding hazardous materials and chemicals.
Minimum Qualifications
· Associates degree (chemistry, material science, or related field of study) or 2 years of laboratory experience
· Basic knowledge of wet chemistry methods
· Ability to determine the endpoint of a colorimetric titration
· Ability to understand and perform chemical procedures.
· Attention to detail.
· Able to work safely with hazardous materials
· Experience with electroplating preferred but not required
· Able to obtain OSHA 10 certification
· Proficient in basic computer skills
· Ability to work independently to finish daily tasks
· Ability to pass a Pre-employment drug screening
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Safely sample scheduled chemical baths within the facility
· Perform wet chemistry analysis, mainly titrations, on a given sample to determine the concentration.
· Enter test results into chemical software to render additions or dilutions for chemical baths.
· Uphold high standard of safety, cleanliness, and organization within the laboratory.
· Follow chemical procedures to makeup solutions
· Properly label solutions and chemical baths in accordance with facility safety standards
· Assist with inventory of chemicals and materials on site
· Perform cleaning and calibration of laboratory equipment.
· Maintain SDS (safety data sheets) filing system
· Assist chemical maintenance staff and water treatment plant staff when required.
· Other duties as assigned.
