What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2ND SHIFT PRODUCTION WORKERS position at Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation?
Summary:
Metal Sales is the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems with 21 locations across America. We offer competitive pay and an extensive benefits package!
We are hiring for 2nd shift:
First Shift - 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday
Second Shift - 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
**2nd shift trains on 1st shift for approximately 60 days**
Overtime including working on weekends may be required.
Metal Sales is looking individuals that enjoy production work, have strong work ethics, and a strong desire to learn. We have multiple permanent positions for the following areas:
• Press Operator
• Shipping and Receiving (Forklift Operator)
• Roll Form Operator
• Bander
The most qualified candidates will have:
- Previous working in a manufacturing/production environment
- Previous machine operator experience
- Previous Shipping and Receiving
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
- Ability to work independently and with others
- High school diploma or GED
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to read, hear, talk, drive lift trucks, wear PPE, and lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively
- Must be able to stand or walk approximately 7 ½ hours minimum per work shift
- Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in the winter and summer months
- Noise level is moderate to loud
