What your title will be:

Warehouse & CDL Driver

Here are some things you'll be doing:

• Securing your loads in regards with DOT and Metalwest Load Securement Policies
• Assist truck loaders to ensure your load is safe and loaded properly
• Deliver our product to customer locations using our trucks
• Assist in loading and unloading material at each stop
• Take safety precautions when weather is expected
• Follow DOT rules for weighing the truck, completing DVIR for pre and post trips, and driving
• Wearing appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment)
• Ensuring that all required paperwork is completed in a timely manner
• Reads/understands orders on a daily basis
• Unloads and receives incoming materials
• Must be able to read and comprehend work orders, directions, and safety and procedure manuals
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with all departments to meet customer specifications and/or to verify quality acceptance by customer; must also communicate verbally and in writing to complete shipping tickets and alert appropriate personnel of equipment problems, safety issues, and/or quality issues using knowledge of the structure and content of the English language
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Well organized and able to prioritize work activities and tasks, as well as those of fellow team members to achieve maximum productivity

• Pass a drug test and background check!
• CDL Class A and an above average DOT safety record!
• Have a great work ethic! We'll teach you the rest!

Experience

• 2 year(s): Class A CDL

Education

• High School or better in General Education or related field
