METER Group, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead the development and execution of sales strategies aimed at growing revenue in both core and strategically significant adjacent markets. This position’s main deliverable is achieving realized revenue targets by motivating, influencing, developing, and energizing a high-performing sales team to champion client needs, act as trusted advisors for clients, and successfully close opportunities.
This role works from our Pullman, WA office.
The pay range for the base salary for this role is $97,900 - $146,800. Offers will be made in this range based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a strong culture in accordance with METER’s core values.
- Set up and maintain an optimal sales structure and plan to meet current company needs.
- Set up and maintain all sales processes, drawing on current processes, best practices, and internal sales audit findings.
- Own and be accountable for strategically-driven key performance indicators, and apply them to salesperson expectations.
- Conduct timely reviews of individual sales KPIs and metrics.
- Provide clear connections between performance, variable compensation, and, when needed, performance improvement plans. Review regularly and consistently.
- Facilitate and measure integration between Marketing and Sales. Responsible for “A” grade on service level agreement between.
- Articulate corporate strategic vision and ensure sales team knows and applies it consistently.
- Direct efforts to identify and win sales opportunities.
- Engage in gaining client feedback to understand client needs and identify trends.
- Oversee ongoing sales team training efforts to maintain a trusted advisor level of technical knowledge and sales expertise and the individual professional growth of each sales team member.
- Facilitate the flow of sales information and client feedback and requirements as needed throughout the organization.
- Assist in sales forecasting and long-term revenue growth planning.
- Travel as required (roughly 25%).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or scientific field.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent business management or personnel management experience preferred.
- 3 years of experience in technical sales within related industries.
- Demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships and network effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to lead within cross-functional teams and build collaborative relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to coach team members towards success in closing sales and meeting sales targets.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team.
