We have an immediate need for a talented, energetic, self-starting Social Content Specialist & Copywriter to support with brainstorming, content strategy and copywriting across our base of exciting clients. In particular, you’ll work with Fortune 50 brands and their executives in the consumer and enterprise tech spaces. Positions are available in Texas, California, Maryland, Virginia, Illinois, Missouri and Washington, D.C. This position offers the opportunity for a hybrid set-up with work from home and work from office flexibility.

 

Our content specialists and copywriters assist the team with bringing the tactics of a guiding strategy to life. This includes brainstorming ways to execute the strategy using the latest social platform features, working side-by-side with designers and producers, and having a pulse on content performance metrics to move forward with thoughtful experimentation.

The anticipated salary range for this position at Assistant Account Executive level is $50,000 - $63,000, and the anticipated range at Account Executive level is $53,000 - $76,500.

 

 

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with a team of content strategists, communication specialists, copywriters, planners, data analysts, and designers 
  • Brainstorm and create engaging, shareable content under tight deadlines and across multiple brands
  • Write copy across a variety of formats including social media posts , video scripts, on-asset graphics, community engagement responses, email newsletters, website, and blog posts 
  • Develop strategies for community engagement and response scenarios
  • Monitor and spot trends and translate information into branded or exec news content
  • Plan and manage monthly editorial and content calendars for multiple social media platforms for both brand clients and executives 
  • Understand and apply distinct brand personality and tone of voice across all copywriting, including for a brand’s executives and employees 
  • Publish approved content to social media channels using third party social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Smarp or similar)
  • Capitalize on opportunities within emerging platforms and online communities 
  • Contribute to Methods Mastery’s culture of innovation and respect for different backgrounds and perspectives
  • Understand and apply inclusive language and accessibility best practices across all copy and content writing 
  • Deliver multiple assignments on deadline
  • Willingness to work flexibly to meet deadlines and collaborate with colleagues in different time zones

Qualifications

  • Must-haves:
    • 1-3 years experience in creating social media content for brands across multiple channels including concepting content and copywriting for planned, proactive content
    • Community management and engagement writing experience preferred
    • Strong writing skills and ability to communicate effectively across all digital and social channels
    • Experience in curating content calendars and copywriting for executives’ social media channels strongly preferred 
    • Deep knowledge of social media platforms – particularly LinkedIn and Twitter, but also YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.
    • Attention to detail with strong project management and prioritization skills; ability to manage ad-hoc requests in tandem with ongoing projects using Agile and Scrum-based project management principles
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas and information clearly
    • Collaborative attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive and excel in a challenging fast-paced environment
    • Proactive, creative and independent thinker
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a four-year accredited college or university
