Role Location: Wilmington, Delaware (Preferred) - hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days work from home), Open to Virtual candidates

Role Value Proposition:

Information Technology professional wanted to fill an existing consultant who is a subject matter expertise on Cognos report development in support of MetLife Corporate systems international actuarial department. The role of the developer will be to participate in large scale information technology projects that support our new digitial strategy and to provide improved metrics for determining product value and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, development and deployment of multi-dimensional reports using the Cognos Business Intelligence solution.
• Investigate and resolve all data issues and analyze all business requirements and perform interview with all stakeholders.
• Prepare all designs and code for various Cognos reporting objects and ensure compliance to all best business practices.
• Creating, enhancing and maintaining Framework Manager models to support business requirements
• Working with business users to design and develop Cognos BI 10.1 reports using Report Studio with data drill-down and slice-and-dice options
• Build and configuration of Power Apps, automatic process workflows by leveraging both standard and custom developed workflows to automate processes where appropriate and beneficial.
• Utilize connectors, design Power BI dashboards, build Power Apps portals, and leverage Power Automate to create business process flows.
• Document processes and developing, testing, and deploying solutions using the platform
• Good communication skills.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

• Strong communication and written skills, as well as proven organizational skills
• 10 plus years of working in a collaborative team development environment. Familiarity with AGILE methodology.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or have any other equivalent qualification.
• Should be able to demonstrate a constant and quick learning ability and should be flexible to adapt to the new developing technologies.
• Ability to validate large volumes of data that is present in the different systems.
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to handle pressure situations without compromising on quality are a must.

Preferred:

• Willingness to obtain training/education on different technologies like Big Data (Horton Works), Azure and business intelligence reporting tools
