As a software engineer, you are responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of solutions, based on a set of standards and processes which establish consistency across the enterprise, data, reduce risk, and promote efficiencies in support of the organizations and the business goals and objectives. You will collaborate closely with the Scrum Lead, Product Owner, and ART Leadership. You will have an opportunity to impact every part of the system, foster and cultivate your curiosity and iterate over solutions to be the very best you can be to deliver for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements.
- Analyzing, designing, and driving solutions for major components and features.
- Implementing enterprise caliber web, mobile and backend solutions.
- Ensuring secure, high code quality across the entire team.
- Assists in investigating and resolving production management incidents, problems, and service requests.
- Working with cross-functional teams for delivery.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- One plus years in software engineering.
- Ability to build, deliver and operate complex, cloud-based systems.
- Proficiency with application development using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
- Proficiency with, at least, one web language such as JavaScript, JSON.
- Proficiency with various database technologies and solutions, including both SQL and NoSQL.
- Working with Git-based repositories such as GitHub, Bitbucket or Azure Repos.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices.
- Cross functional leadership: organize, motivate, and lead those outside of the team.
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- DevOps practices for CI/CD, release management, and automation using Azure DevOps.
- Container-based development leveraging Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Microsoft Azure Services: Functions, Kubernetes, CosmosDB,Storage, App Service.
- Modern Identity and Access Management and general AppSec practices.
