Role Value Proposition:
Global Operations (Global Ops) focuses on creating positive experiences for MetLife customers and helping the company make the best use of its global resources. We’re looking for unique talent with fresh perspectives that can propel innovation. In this role you will investigate group disability claims and makes determination on claims settlement within authorized guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises team of claim specialists handling both Absence and Paid Leaves.
- Manages workflow; screens and distributes work based on skill level.
- Ensures adherence to performance standards, resolves client service issues, and maintains data integrity.
- May review, record, and analyze data to make claims settlement determination.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
- Assists with people management responsibilities, including hiring, firing, promotions, performance and compensation management, and training and development.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- 5 years of Insurance Experience
- Experience with Federal and Statutory paid and unpaid leaves
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal
- High School Diploma
Preferred:
- 5 years of Disability Insurance experience
- Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Highly self-motivated
- Bachelor’s Degree
