What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Metro Care Human Services?

- Develop and implement skill building, socialization, fitness, and leisure activities
- Performs delegated tasks such as medication administration, upon completion of instruction and return demonstration.
- Prepare meals, including modified diets and food safety.
- Documents as indicated in clinical record.
- Follow the established care plans for each client.
- Complete household chores.
- Support clients to help them develop, achieve goals and self-advocate
- Build community relationships and foster inclusion
- Dynamic team environment
- Other duties as assigned.
- Available shifts: NE Mpls location- Afternoons/ Evenings and awake overnight, Inver Grove Heights location- afternoons/evenings. Falcon Heights location- awake overnight, afternoon/evenings. Saint Paul location- awake overnight
- Must be able to work every other weekend.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a background study with the MN Department of Human Services
- This position does requires you to have a valid Drivers license
- Must be able to regularly lift 25-50 pounds
** Interested Candidate must be able to interview at the Main Office in Woodbury, MN. Any conditional offers of employment, orientations/trainings are conducted at the main office.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
