What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Metro Inn JFK?
Work Frequency - Part time (3 Days a week)
Responsibilities
- Ensuring all linen in the laundry room is packed neatly on the shelves and accounted for.
- Stocking housekeeping cart with supplies needed in order to perform cleaning services.
- Documenting / reporting any damages within the rooms. This includes any building items, appliances, furniture and linen.
- Ensuring all offices are service upon the beginning of the work day including before your work shift ends. (Twice a day)
- Perform cleaning services inside of guest rooms including in the bathrooms. Replacing all linen inside the rooms including bed sheets, blankets, bath towels, hand towels and washcloths.
- Follow all housekeeping guidelines and regulations as set forth by management / owner.
Language Skills
- Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to read and Write business letters, summaries and reports using prescribed format, and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style. Spanish Speaking is a great if there are residence who only have that as there primary language.
COVID-19 precautions
- Temperature screening is done upon entering the building. Gloves and face masks are to be worn at all times until further notice from the CDC. Workers must be vaccinated.
Must have a Social Security and be authorized to work in the US.
