What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist/Scheduler position at Metro Spine PC?
Summary: We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Bilingual Medical Front Desk Receptionist to manage the reception area of our pain practice. You will represent Metro Spine PC in a professional and caring manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.
The required hours are as follows: Monday – Friday, 7am – 4pm (variable)
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Answers all incoming calls and directs calls to appropriate personnel. Serves as a liaison between patient and medical staff
2. Responsible for scheduling patient appointment in an efficient and timely manner.
4. Schedules new patients, follow up and returning patients in computer system in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines. Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes; notifies appropriate clinic personnel.
3. Obtains and enters all insurance authorization, and correspondence relating to referrals in patients charts and/or electronic medical records (EMR).
4. Collects co-pays, deductible and other out of pocket amounts at time of visit.
5. Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/practice.
6. Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office. Covers for other front office functions as requested.
8. Demonstrates the ability to open and close medical office according to medical hours of operations.
9. Performs check-in and check-out procedures according to office protocol.
10. Facilitates day-to-day operations of medical office.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be bilingual (Spanish/English).
Familiar with electronic health records (eClinical Works).
Candidates should be pleasant, well spoken, bright, energetic and reliable.
Must be very familiar with collection of co-pays and deductibles.
Must understand insurance and insurance verification.
Multi-lingual/multi-cultural patient involvement.
Must have reliable transportation, as the candidate will work at our satellite offices in Maryland and Washington DC.

Qualifications:

Required education:
· Minimum, 1 year of college.
Required experience:
- Medical Receptionist: 2 years.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, internet software, and electronic health records software.
