Position: Garage Porter
Location: UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion | Aurora, CO
Shift: Part Time (Monday to Friday shifts)
Pay Rate: $16/hour
Garage Porter
As a Garage Porter, you will be responsible for preventive and daily maintenance and cleaning tasks noted on the checklists and as directed by Operations Manager to ensure that all dirt, dust, litter, and debris are removed from all areas of the facility.
The ideal candidate will be a friendly, caring, dedicated individual with good cross-cultural sensitivity and the willingness to put in extra effort and time when required, as well as a passion for serving customers. You will work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with a multi-cultural team and guests alike, while possessing following;

- Sweep and pick up around the entrances and exits to the garage and stairwells, as well as clean surface area rails, etc. on all levels, the booth, the office, and rest rooms.
- Empty all trashcans in the garage, the booth, and the office.
- Responsible for safety and security of company equipment.
- Paint any areas of the facility as directed by the manager/supervisor to ensure that all painted surfaces such as poles, signs, doors, walls, curbs, islands, gates, etc. are properly maintained and look neat and clean.
- Perform tasks such as replacing light bulbs as needed or apply oil absorbent to oil spills.
- Walk to the garage daily to note and correct any maintenance problems.
- Check the conditions of the equipments’ functioning properly, and general appearance.
- Pick-up and delivery of winter supplies, sand, salt, fuel, power equipment, vehicles, etc.
- Maintain an inventory of janitorial supplies and submit requests to re-stock supplies as needed.
- Operate automatic sweepers, scrubbers, outdoor equipment (such as weed eater), lawnmowers, or other electrical tools to repair or construct items, as applicable.
- Shovel, plow, or blow snow from the entrance or exit ramps and in areas designated by the Operations Manager, as applicable.
- Report any known accidents or violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the local manager in a timely manner.

Essential Functions

- Stand for up to six (6) consecutive hours

- Prior valet parking attendant experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Expected to constantly work in all outdoor weather conditions
- Required to wear a uniform and follow appropriate grooming standards
