Showroom Administrator - Major Appliances
- Ordering, tracking, unboxing and merchandising of display pieces
- Identify display pieces to be cycled into sellable status
- Displaying, pricing and advertising out of box or clearance pieces
- Tracking of clearance pieces and adjusting price for sellability
- Utilizing digital spaces to achieve higher sales, particularly of out of box or clearance pieces
- Monitoring, ordering and organizing of misc office supplies
- Owning or assigning online orders
- Directing flow of communication, both digital (live chat, text, general emails etc) and physical (greeting clients and pairing with a salesperson)
- Creation and distribution of digital forms for client correspondence (approving orders, acknowledging site requirements, agreeing to policies etc)
- Light cleaning of the showroom
- General phone answering
This position owns the condition of the showroom and is responsible for curating a clean, safe and attractive environment for clients and associates alike. We offer luxury appliances and take a great deal of pride in all aspects of the company - it is expected that this is reflected in the condition of the showroom. The role is tasked with the maintenance of existing showroom pieces as well as procuring replacements for aging display pieces and general office supplies. The role also has a sales element to improve cycle time of clearance or out of box units by making sales associates aware of these products and also advertising them both physically and digitally. The role would also help to improve our digital communication by ensuring quick responses to inquiries by replying directly or assigning the inquiry to a salesperson. Key characteristics for this role are communication, attention to detail and proactive thinking.
The business intends to grow the responsibilities of this role and the Showroom Administrator is tasked with providing feedback and thoughts for improvement with management through bi-weekly meetings.
Requirements
Able to move heavy products with the use of a hand truck
Computer literate - frequent use of email and Google Workspace
Experience working in customer service; retail merchandising is also preferred
Compensation
Total pay between $20 and $30 an hour DOE. Some combination of hourly wage, commission schedule and bonus structure
