Job Statement
Metso Outotec offers a broad range of products and services to the mining and heavy industry throughout the United States from its base in Mesa Arizona. This position requires the estimating/quoting of labor hours for assets within M: O repair facility along any outside sourcing cost related to given job to create a repair proposal for customer. Information used for proposal must be organized and formatted for M: O repair shop execution in the order it is received.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Gather and file all information needed for quote (RFQ, technical information, drawings, etc).
Estimate all asset/labor hours, materials, and/or outside processes to determine job cost.
Create proposal based on processes and costs from cost estimate.
Review and have management review estimate, customer proposal, and lead time.
Send repair proposal and any related inspection report to M: O designated account manager.
Create shop router/traveler for shop from information used to create repair proposal for REP production coordinator.
Track and report all RFQ's, quote backlog, and send proposal.
Support Repairs staff, facility shop and management as needed.
Secure all drawings and technical information needed for Repairs execution.
Work with sales and management for any customer issues related to price or lead time.
Maintains tracking devices that communicates the incoming RFQ's, quote backlog and sent proposals.
Set standard quote turnaround duration when RFQ is received and notify sales and/or customer.
Notify REP staff of any incoming jobs they may not be aware of.
Works with the Repair Center Manager, Account Managers and Project Manager(s) on scheduling machine tooling requirements, manpower and supplies/consumables required for each project.
Compile data to create variance reports, lessons learned documents, and other tracking tools.
Ensures that resources, materials, etc. are available and/or scheduled to carry out the work.
Creates job packets or travelers: including drawings, job scope information, contact lists, schedules, manpower, equipment, tools, etc. for the shop use.
Responsible for notifying the Repair Center Manager and Project Manager of potential increases in scope and price of projects as they are being processed.
Responsible for compiling work scopes, QC documents, and other documentation related to repairs and ensuring said documents are filed in both hard copy and digital formats.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or similar discipline preferred or equivalent work experience.
Two years of experience preparing estimates.
