Metz Environmental Services is hiring for a Facilities Director in Danville, PA. We are looking for an experienced Facilities Director to oversee all building-related activities at a multi-site educational account. Previous experience in a similar role with comparable responsibilities is highly preferred. This position operates the department with autonomy but has ample support from our corporate team.
You will be responsible for ensuring that facilities are safe, clean, and well-functioning. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities, motivational techniques, and high energy will set you apart.
Responsibilities
- Oversite of Plant Operations, Environmental Services and Grounds at multiple locations including:
- Timely work order processing, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry and Project Management
- Floor Refinishing, Disinfecting, Daily Cleaning
- Basic Mowing, Edging, Flower Beds, Snow & Ice Removal
- Budget Management to include setting & adhering to both Operations and Capital Planning Budgets
- Ability to direct department managers and supervisors to follow a set standard protocol and operating procedures
- Ultimate responsibility to supervise all facilities team members including: custodians, maintenance technicians, groundskeepers, housekeepers and external contractors
- Complete daily quality assurance inspections for all departments to ensure operations are maintained at high levels
- Control and monitor activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security, etc.
- Keep accurate records of facilities operations and prepare presentations to demonstrate department activities
Requirements
- 3 years experience in a similar role with multi-site responsibilities
- Budget Management
- Well-versed in facilities management best practices
- Experience managing facilities personnel
