Accounting Clerk

Accounting clerk needed to work in fast-paced real estate environment. Responsibilities include heavy accounts payable including the maintenance of vendor accounts, general ledger accounting, managerial reporting, providing support for the accounting team and business partners. Must work well in team environment and be willing to learn many different accounting functions. Three years accounting experience required. Full-time position with benefits. No phone calls please.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals and spreadsheets
  • Coding, entering, and check processing for accounts payable
  • Review and posting of rent receipts, security deposits, and escrow funds
  • Assist in monthly bank reconciliations
  • Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with month end activities to include financial statements for distribution

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Accounts payable and General Ledger experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-person office and communicate with a wide range of individuals
  • Real Estate background a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
