What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Merchandising Manager position at Meyer Ace Hardware?
Position Summary:
Meyer Ace Hardware is a fourth-generation owned hardware business that prides itself in putting our customers first. We are currently looking to add a merchandising manager at our Saint Ignace location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the Corporate Merchandiser to ensure all planograms are up to date in all departments
- Work with planograms and execute effectively
- Merchandise endcaps
- Assist the Corporate Merchandiser to ensure merchandising standards are being followed throughout the store
- Work with inventory manager and backroom manager and get overstocked product onto the sales floor
- Assist with executing monthly/weekly sales signage
- Changing out sign kits for on sale items
- Circulate the store and update price tags on the shelf
- Provide a high level of customer service to customers looking for products
- Merchandise seasonal areas of the store as the seasons change
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have previous retail experience
- Must have a basic understanding of merchandising in a retail environment
- Must have a friendly, outgoing personality
- Love working in a family atmosphere and interacting with other team members
- Enjoy working with members of the community daily to help them with their needs
- Investing yourself in the success of the store
- Exceeding customers’ expectations every time
- Ability to work weekends, opening and closing shifts (7:30am-6:00pm)

Physical Requirement:
The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
- Ability to stand for an extended period, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties
- Move and handle merchandise up to 40 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
