Job Overview:
Mezeh is a fast-casual mediterranean restaurant headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia. With almost 50 locations across the East Coast, Mezeh has ambitious goals for expansion over the next several years. Mezeh’s sister concept, Maizal, is currently at 5 locations and is managed by the same team. Our restaurant group is seeking a Catering Assistant to help manage catering emails and phone calls, secure catering orders (of all sizes), and coordinate those orders with the stores and corporate office. This individual must be responsible for following all mezeh protocols and maintaining professionalism in all interactions. The Catering Assistant will report to the Catering Team.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to catering emails.
- Monitor and manage the catering phone line during business hours.
- Coordinate with stores and corporate office to make sure stores are prepared for large-scale catering orders with proper food, supplies, and staff.
- Follow established protocols for handling customer inquiries and escalations.
- Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and empathy in all interactions.
Qualifications:
- High school degree
- 1-3 years of work experience, preferably in catering, events, customer service, or restaurants / hospitality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
